That’s the entire process. We’ll take it from there, including that awkward breakup with your big-box pharmacy.

Frequently asked questions about Qual-i-tee’s prescription pricing:

What does my prescription price include?

The price you see is the price you’ll pay at the register.

Eligible 30-day maintenance prescriptions can also be sorted into multi-dose pill packs by day and time at no additional charge.

How does pricing at Qual-i-tee Pharmacy work?

Most maintenance medications—the ones you take regularly, such as atorvastatin, lisinopril, levothyroxine and sertraline—fall into one of four monthly price tiers.

Most common generics cost $10–$13 for a 30-day supply, and about 98% of the maintenance medications listed here cost $30 or less for 30 days. A 90-day fill always costs less than three 30-day fills.

Some medications are priced differently, including inhalers, pens, creams, ointments and short courses of antibiotics. The calculator will show the price for the specific item or quantity.

There’s no insurance formulary, no copay that changes without warning, no discount card to remember at the register or coupons.

Should I search by the brand name or the generic name of my medication?

You can search using either name.

If you search for Lipitor, for example, the calculator will show atorvastatin, its generic equivalent. Unless a result is specifically identified as a brand-name product, the displayed price is for the generic medication named at the top of the result.

If your prescription requires a specific brand, call (608) 286-2625 and we’ll quote the brand-name price.

Could my prescription cost less somewhere else?

Yes. Sometimes another pharmacy—or your insurance—may cost less.

If you’ve met your deductible, have especially good prescription copays or take an expensive brand-name or biologic medication, using insurance may be the better option.

But price isn’t the only cost. Long lines, long hold times, repeat trips and difficulty reaching someone when you have a health question all matter, too.

Use the calculator to decide whether it makes sense to fill some, most or all of your prescriptions with us. We’d rather help you compare now than surprise you at the register.

Direct-pay purchases generally do not count toward your insurance deductible, but eligible prescription purchases may be paid for with FSA or HSA funds.
