About Us
Meet Ryan & Kindra
Qual-i-tee Pharmacy is founded, owned, operated, and staffed by husband and wife Ryan Bender and Kindra Goehler. In other words, we wear all the hats. Call the pharmacy, and one of us will answer. Bring in a prescription, and Ryan fills it. That’s the whole idea. There’s no private equity or big corporation behind what we do. It’s our family, caring for your family.
Madison is our home.
We moved to Madison 25 years ago for school and never left. We’re both UW–Madison graduates: Ryan with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Kindra with a degree in art and art history.
Our two kids go to school here and play sports here, so our weekends look like a lot of Madison weekends: practices, games, somebody forgetting their soccer cleats. When we say we want this community to be better, we mean the one our kids are growing up in.
What we each bring to the table:
Ryan has spent more than 20 years as a pharmacist at independent community pharmacies, the kind of places where the pharmacist knows your name and your medication list. Everything he believes a neighborhood pharmacy can be, he learned behind those counters.
Kindra is a creative director and one of the founders of Dirigible Studio, a Madison marketing agency. The website you’re reading is her work. So is the way the store looks and feels.
Why are we opening an independent pharmacy in Madison?
We started Qual-i-tee Pharmacy with a simple mission: to help people. We care about this community and want to make it a better place for everyone. A pharmacy seemed like a good way to start.
We’re opening this September. We’d love it if you stopped in and said hello, we’d love to meet you.
Yes, we know how to spell ”quality.”
Our name is a nod to pharmacy names from another era, when the corner drugstore might be called Sav-Mor or Tastee and a playful spelling was part of the charm. That’s the tradition we named ourselves for.
Besides, plain old Quality Pharmacy was never going to be enough for us. We’re a little extra. So we needed the extra e’s.
