The white version of the 4-inch onyx mortar and pestle: pale, translucent stone with grey veining, carved in Pakistan and weighing in around 3.9 pounds. Grinds spices like any stone mortar, and looks like a small sculpture on the counter between uses.

Hand wash only. The onyx is quarried and carved in Pakistan. Natural stone means no two pieces match, and the fine fissures you may see are part of how onyx forms, not damage. Quasar Gems USA is a gem and mineral wholesaler in Jackson, Wisconsin, about an hour east of us.
