Description
Tolnaftate antifungal in liquid form, with a brush in the cap for painting it on. 1 fl oz (30 mL). Shake well before using.
Drug Facts: active ingredient tolnaftate 1% (purpose: antifungal). Labeled uses: most athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) and ringworm (tinea corporis); with daily use, keeping most athlete’s foot from coming back; and relief of itching, burning, cracking, redness, and scaling. The Drug Facts panel states plainly that it is not effective on the scalp or nails, so despite the compare-to brand’s name, this is for the skin around the nail, not the nail.
Directions: clean and thoroughly dry the area, apply a thin layer twice daily (morning and night) for 4 weeks, and see a doctor if it persists. To keep athlete’s foot from returning, wash and dry the feet and apply a thin layer once or twice daily. Under 2, ask a doctor.
