Body Trip, 8 oz. Mountain Ocean calls it a skin toning oil; what it is, is almond oil, coconut oil, cocoa seed butter, and vitamin E, and nothing else. No preservatives, no fragrance added.
Mother’s Special Blend is the name it’s carried for forty-plus years. It started as the oil the brand’s founders made for pregnant bellies and it’s still sold that way, though the brand is clear it’s for every body and every skin type.
How to use it: warm the bottle in your hands and shake, since the cocoa butter solidifies and settles when it’s cool. Smooth it on after a bath or shower. Mountain Ocean’s favorite trick is mixing it half and half with Skin Trip lotion.
Mountain Ocean started in the 1970s with Karen and Tom blending lotion in small batches on the California coast. They landed in Boulder, Colorado, opened a shop called Everybody, and the family still runs the brand from there.
