Description
Platycerium bifurcatum, the fern that looks like antlers. It’s an epiphyte, meaning in the wild it grows on trees rather than in soil, which is why people eventually mount theirs on a board. In a 4″ pot it’s happy for a good while first.
Care, per the grower: medium to bright indirect light, out of direct sun. It can adapt to lower light, though it’ll grow more slowly.
Evergreen, slow, and odd-looking in a way that grows on you.
Thorsen’s Greenhouse is a family-owned grower in Delaware, Ohio, in business since 2000. Plants arrive in a plastic grower’s pot with drainage holes (pot color varies), and since every plant is picked by hand, yours will look a little different from the photo.
