Description
A benzoyl peroxide cream from La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar line, 20 mL (0.7 oz) tube.
Drug Facts: benzoyl peroxide 5.5% (micronized, per the brand), purpose: acne treatment, for the treatment of acne. The inactive list includes glycerin and willowherb (epilobium angustifolium) extract. Fragrance-free, paraben-free, free of pore-clogging oils.
Directions from the label: clean the skin thoroughly, then cover the whole affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Start with once a day and work up, since drying can occur; if you get bothersome dryness or peeling, back off to once a day or every other day. Apply sunscreen after it if you’re heading outside. Benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabric, so mind the towels.
