Florajen’s probiotic for children, 30 capsules. Four strains per capsule: Bifidobacterium lactis Bi-07, Bifidobacterium lactis HN019, Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001, totaling over 6 billion live cultures.
Florajen formulates it for children 6 months and up, and says to check with a pediatrician before using it under 6 months.
Serving: one capsule daily, with or without food. The capsule can be opened and sprinkled into cold food or a drink. If you’re taking an antibiotic, Florajen says to space the capsule at least one to two hours away from it. For little kids, that usually means applesauce or yogurt.
Florajen ships and stores refrigerated; the brand says it holds at room temperature for up to two weeks. Free of gluten, dairy, coloring, and preservatives. Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin capsule, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.
