The Marvellous Mix: four adult bamboo toothbrushes with medium bristles, one each in white, blue, yellow, and natural. Enough for a family, a guest bathroom, or one person who swaps brushes every three months and would like to be set for the year.

f.e.t.e stands for “from earth to earth,” a UK company (Felbridge, Surrey) that makes bamboo toothbrushes. The handles are moso bamboo from Anji, China, where the brushes are also made; the bristles are recyclable nylon with 63% plant-based content. The box is recycled kraft cardboard.

When it’s done: pull the bristles out (they’re nylon, so they go in the trash or to a nylon recycler) and compost the handle. f.e.t.e says it breaks down in about six months.
